3M 9080 High Performance Double-Coated Tape 3M 9080 is a double coated acrylic adhesive tape on a non-woven tissue carrier. It has a very high level of initial tack and good adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces including Low Surface Energy (LSE) materials. 3M 9080 is well suited to bonding together a wide variety of similar and dissimilar materials such as wood, metals, glass, papers, paints, and many plastics and fabrics. It shows a high level of adhesion to LSE materials such as Polypropylene and some Polyethylene’s, as well as coated papers and varnishes. It is widely used as a banner tape within the print industry. 3M double sided tapes combine a very high level of adhesive peel and shear performance. The adhesive system used on these products provides good adhesion to both high and low surface energy substrates. The excellent initial tack ensures that a bond of good integrity is achieved soon after application. 3M Double-Sided tapes are suitable on a wide range of surfaces, including stainless steel, rubber, polycarbonate, felt, foam and non-woven parts, making them ideal for sign makers and shop fitters, for point-of-sale and printers.
